What is Charlie’s Guitar Circle?
Charlie’s Guitar Circle is a live online guitar membership for adults and older learners who want to improve in a calm, structured and supportive way.
You’ll join me personally twice a month on Zoom for live small-group guitar sessions.
Each session is designed by me to help you understand what to practice, how to improve and how to enjoy playing more.
It is not a faceless course, a self-led app, or another pile of videos to work through alone.
It is a live, human, music-led community run personally by myself.

Why learn with Charlie?
Charlie Hodgson has been teaching guitar full-time since the age of 16.
He began performing live as a teenager, and after one early gig, someone in the audience asked if he could teach their sons. That first request became the start of a full-time teaching career that has now spanned more than 20 years.
Since then, Charlie has taught over 500 pupils through his highly successful and five star rated independent guitar practice in Hertfordshire.
Alongside teaching, he is a professional performing guitarist and session musician, with experience across hundreds of gigs, festivals, private events and venues throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
He has performed every genre from rock, pop, indie, folk, jazz, soul and punk to audiences of over 40,000 people, is represented by leading UK and luxury entertainment agencies, and has been selected for high-profile performance opportunities including prestigious venues such as Hampton Court Palace.
He has taught everyone from professional footballers at prem league football clubs, to affluent CEO’s and international families in luxury estates.
But what makes Charlie’s teaching different is not just his performance background, but the way he teaches.
Charlie is theory-trained, jazz specialist, ear-trained and musically grounded, but his approach is calm, patient, friendly and human. He believes guitar should be enjoyable, not intimidating, and that music theory should help people become better musicians, not make them feel overwhelmed.
